The endoscopic subureteral application of polidimetilsiloxano (macroplastic) in the management of vesicouretral reflux

ABSTRACT
Introduction: The conservative treatment in order to that the union ureterovesical matures and that the reflux disappears it has changed dramatically with the use of materials of expansion tisular deposited subureteralmente.Material and methods: He/she was carried out a prospective study during which you applies polidimetilsiloxano (macroplástico) to 44 pediatric patients that presented reflux vesicoureteral (RVU) of diverse grades, during one period of 1 to 3 years.
Result: They were carried out a total of 44 applications macroplastico subureterales, in patients between 2 and 14 years, in those that the reflux bilateral grade II and III prevailed with pursuit of 6 months to 3 years. The success in the resolution of the reflux with the application of the substance was of 89%.
Discussio: The macroplastico application constitutes a therapeutic alternative of minimum invasion that shortens the time of antibiotic prevention and hospital stay ostensibly.
