ABSTRACT
Introduction. The ectopic pregnancy not only constitutes one of the pathologies that requires
of more acuteness diagnostic, for the biological repercussion of its clinical square, but also for
the sequel that it’s handling generally brings with relationship to the fertility of a patient with
problems of sterility.
Material and method. Was carried out a retrospective, descriptive,
observational and traverse study to determine which were the more frequent ultrasonographics
signs of the ectopic pregnancy in the Hospital Juarez of Mexico of July 1 from 1997 to June
30, 1999. The clinical ultrasonographic files of 100 patients were revised. Of these patients,
37 were excluded; five for not having pictures of the ultrasound, six to have a mistaken file
and 26 didn’t have ectopic pregnancy like final diagnosis. At the end they were 63 patients
that had clinical, ultrasonographic, surgical or histopathologic diagnosis of ectopic pregnancy.
Results. One hundred files were revised of which 63 completed the inclusion approaches. The
age range went from 17 to 40 years with a 26.2 year-old mean. They were sack gestational like
in eight patients (12.7%) of those which in three (4.8%) heart frequency was visualized outside
of the uterine cavity, what transforms it into a finding of certainty.
Discussion. Even when the patients were 63, the tendency of the findings in order of frequency was significant to compare them with the world literature. However a bigger number of patients is required to corroborate the
own tendency of our hospital.
