ABSTRACT
Adenomas are rare middle ear tumors that derive from the middle ear mucosa and can be easily mistaken for other conditions. Hyams and Michaels first described them in 1976. They can occur over a wide age range, with no sex predominance, and are not characterized by specific symptoms or findings. The most frequent complaints are unilateral hearing loss and ear fullness. We report the case of a male patient with right hipoacusia, who had a non-pulsatile lesion in his right ear; the histopathologic diagnosis was a middle ear adenoma with neuroendocrine differentiation.REFERENCES
