ABSTRACT
Abdominal wall deformities are frequent in Burkina Faso and are a reason for consultation of patients who suffer from it in the General Surgery services. These cause serious aesthetic, functional and psychological disorders in them. The association of surgical procedures for the treatment of abdominal hernias associated with the pendulum belly dates back to the 1970s, which has had followers and has shown satisfactory results, when checking that complications are avoided and when facilitating the operative field to the surgeon when doing a hernioplasty. We present a case of a patient suffering from a giant umbilical hernia associated with pendulous belly.
