ABSTRACT
Background: Gastric volvulus secondary to paraesophageal hernia is a rare pathology. Objective: The aim of this paper is to present a rare case of gastric volvulus secondary to paraesophageal hernia. Methods: We reviewed the case of 39 years old female. This patient developed a gastric volvulus secondary to paraesophageal hernia. Results: The clinical features of a 39 years old female and the surgical treatment were reviewed. Conclusions: Gastric volvulus secondary to paraesophageal hernia is rare. Surgical intervention is indicated.
