ABSTRACT
Implantology is a science that has achieved rapid development in recent years,
offering the possibility of aesthetic and functional responses to our patients by
raising their quality of life: The purpose of this study is to report the technique,
procedures and results achieved in the treatment with osseointegrated dental
implants in three partially edentulous patients seen in our Department in 2009.
Three partial edentulous patients were questioned and extra and intraoral
clinical examination was conducted, as well as complementary research such
as: study models, diagnostic wax-up, and panoramic dental X-ray, thus
reaching the diagnosis and treatment plan with osseointegrated dental implants
and fixed prosthesis rehabilitation. All patients received a successful prosthetic
rehabilitation, each one supported by implants. Satisfactory results regarding
aesthetics and function were achieved, improving their quality of life. The correct
diagnosis and proper performance of treatment with osseointegrated dental
implants and rehabilitation are essential factors for success.
