ABSTRACT
Pemphigus by IgA is blistering dermatosis, characterized by the deposition of IgA in the intercellular spaces of the epidermal keratinocytes. It occurs in adults and elderly with a slight predominance in women. The subcorneal type: flaccid vesicles and erythematous base pustules, and the intraepidermal IgA type: erythematous and exudative lesions, pustular border «in sunflower», are recognized in two types of IgA pemphigus according to histology and clinical practice. The definitive diagnosis is confirmed by histopathology and direct immunofluorescence. The first line treatment is dapsone, and presents chronic evolution. The following is a case of a 64-year-old male patient diagnosed with intraepidermal variant IgA pemphigus.REFERENCES
