The organizational climate in the Medical Unit of External Consultation of Secretaría de la Defensa Nacional

ABSTRACT
Objective: To know the opinion of members of the Medical Unit of External Consultation of the Secretaría de la Defensa Nacional related to the work activity that they perform in aspects such as: 1) self evaluation, 2) Area or group, 3) evaluation of the group to which it belongs and 4) evaluation of the manager.Material and Methods: A survey was carried out on the personnel of the plant and commissioned from 13 areas or groups that work in the Medical Unit of External Consultation of the National Defense Secretaríat. We considered scores with a scale of 0-10 to evaluate 4 aspects related to the employment situation. Four questions were asked: How do you consider your performance in the Medical Unit of External Consultation of the Secretaría de la Defensa Nacional Defense? (Self-appraisal). How do you consider the performance of your area boss or group to which you belong? (Evaluation of area manager or group.). How do you consider the performance of the group to which it belongs? (Assessment of the group to which it belongs). And how do you consider the director's performance? (Evaluation of the Director). Information was collected and analyzed based on the scores of each question, either general or subdivided by areas or groups of which they are part.
Results: Fifty-seven surveys were carried out. The sample surveyed by area was variable, mainly consisting of nursing staff (21.4%) and weight control group (100%). The mean score by area or working group was 6 (pharmacy) to 9.5 (E.M.A.): 8.4. The mean score by area or lowest working group was between 6.5 (pharmacy) and 6.8 (administrative) and the highest score was 9.5 (weight control) and 9.7 (nursing), which represented an overall mean of 8.6.
Conclusion: In general, all the personnel of the Medical Unit of External Consultation of the National Defense Secretaríat perceive a satisfactory working environment (average global score of 8.5).
