Breast metastasis of kidney cancer. Case report

ABSTRACT
Background: Breast metastasis of an extra breast tumor is very rare, representing between 0.5 and 1.3% of malignant neoplasms of the breast. This contrasts with the high incidence of primary malignant tumors of the gland, and can lead to controversy in its diagnosis and treatment. On the other hand, clear cell renal carcinoma is characterized, among other things, by an unpredictable course and a great variability in the location of its metastases. Objective: To present the case of a patient with metastases in the breast of a clear cell renal carcinoma. Case study: 72-year-old female, intense smoking, antecedent of Clear Cell Renal Ca, presented with right breast nodule, treated with quadrantectomy and final histopathological report metastasis of clear cell renal carcinoma. Discussion: The metastases of renal carcinoma represent 3% of the metastases in the breast, 15 cases have been described in the literature, 7 of them as the first manifestation. Conclusion: Before a patient with a breast nodule should not forget to investigate the history of symptoms or treatment of a previous neoplasia, since it may be the only element that allows to guide the diagnosis.REFERENCES
