ABSTRACT
Ventricular pseudoaneurysm is defined as the myocardial rupture whose hemorrhagic process is contained by the pericardium adhered to the area. The rupture of this is a serious complication that generates circulatory failure and not being diagnosed and corrected opportunely can lead to death. Although secondary to several causes, the most frequent is as a mechanical complication of myocardial infarction. We present the case of a man who comes to the Cardiology Service totally asymptomatic on the occasion of preoperative evaluation of major surgery, where the echocardiogram shows the finding of a pseudoaneurial left ventricle. We propose the revision of the echocardiographic diagnosis and the surgical treatment of this condition.
