Strategy of improvement for the ambulant teacher on the psychomotricity in children with cerebral palsy

ABSTRACT
Introduction: special Education in Cuba prioritizes the permanent overcoming of teachers to implement the desired changes, motivated by the search and projection of new results based scientifically.Objective: to structure a strategy of specialized improvement on psychomotricity in children with cerebral palsy.
Method: based on the materialistic dialectical method, empirical methods were used: documentary analysis; Interview and of the theoretical level: historical-logical, analysis-synthesis, modeling; As well as statistics: descriptive statistics and expert criteria through the Delphi method.
Results: theoretical positions on strategy and improvement are needed, as well as the traits that typify this scientific product. The needs of itinerant teachers were identified to identify the topics to be included in the improvement. They were evaluated as relevant, and the organizational forms included in the strategy were: workshops, short postgraduate courses from the University and methodological meetings, tutorial pedagogical advice and demonstrative activities from different levels of educational management.
Conclusions: a strategy of specialized improvement for itinerant teachers was structured, in close relation with the teaching and scientific - methodological work at different management levels, on the development of psychomotricity in children with cerebral palsy. It has a system of actions in the short, medium and long term and organized procedures to achieve better levels of professional performance in the stimulation of the development of psychomotricity in students with cerebral palsy in Pinar del Río.
