The variables identified in order of importance for the experts were the distribution of household tasks, the presence of chronic diseases, the presence of a partner, the loss of the couple, the care of the grandchildren, the exercise of sexuality, the request for medical care, self-medication, current occupation, feelings of loneliness, depression, attitude towards retirement, toxic habits, perception of death, physical and motor limitations, decision making at home, violence, self-perception of health, increased feelings of dependence, self-esteem and selfimage, time distribution, life project and community participation. The variables are in turn encompassed in dimensions: home, health and work, with great importance in the health dimension, which constitutes the fundamental pillar in the third age.
