The mean objective of this work was to describe the experience in kidney transplantation of living emotionally related kidney
donor, in the Hospital Juárez de México, since the program transplantation begun in our institution. The mean age of recipient
patients was 28.3 years old (range 11-47), six were female (37.5%) and ten were male (62.5%). The mean age of donors were 24.5
years old (range 21-33 years). Six were female (37.5%), and ten were male (62.5%).The relationship between donor and receptors
were: Husband 5 (31.2%), political uncle 3 cases (18.3%), political cousin 3 cases (18.3%), brother in law 3 cases (18.3%),
adopted brother 1 case (6.25%), political niece 1 case (6.25%). The blood group distribution were 0+ 13 cases (81.25%), B+ 2
cases (12.5%), A+ 1 case (6.25%). Two haplotype had matched in 1 patient (6.25%), one in four patients (25%), none in 11 cases
(68.75%); six cases of acute rejection were documented (37.5%), with graft loss in 3 cases. The causes of acute rejection were: To
modify immunosuppression treatment, two patients (12.5%) and one patient left treatment (6.25%). Two patient with functional
graft at 5 years (12.5%), 4 years three patients (18.75%), 3 years three patients (18.75%), 2 years three patients (18.75%), 1 year
two patients (12.5%). One case of chronically rejection was reported (6.25%), with histological diagnosis at 4 years postransplanted,
and functional graft at 60%.
