ABSTRACT

Objective: To characterize the grown-ups that went to the "Clinic of Urinary Incontinence”, in the period understood between January and December of 2015, of the "Center of Investigations has more than enough Longevity, Aging and Health (CITED)."
Method: observational study and descriptive of traverse court, universe constituted by bigger 168 adults.
Results: prevail the feminine sex and the group of ages between 70 and 79 years, 47% presented difficulty in the Basic Activities of the Daily Life. (BAVD) and the 78, 6 in the Orchestrated (AIVD) Activities. The diuretics were consumed by the 66, 2%, the diabetes represents the 56, %, continued by the ostheoartrosis for the 50, 6% and the arterial hypertension for the 49, 4%. The comorbidity was present in 95,2% of the cases. The and self-reported health status and quality of life, were to regulate and bad in the 85,1 (143). The urinary incontinence of urgency prevailed for a 28, 6% (48), a 84, 6% (142) they received technical of behavioral modification and they received surgical treatment the 55, 4%.
Conclusions: Patient's profile that is assisted in this service, is a woman, between 70 and 79 years, with affectation of AIVD that takes diuretics, diabetic and with ostheoartrosis, with affectation of the and self-reported health status and quality of life, with urinary incontinence of urgency or mixed that receives treatment with technical of behavioral modification and surgical treatment of being necessary.
