ABSTRACT
Objective. To present that Bismuto’s employment is a therapeutic valid option, with one a verified efficiency, it is a sure, cheap and effective substance for which we demonstrate its efficiency in patients with hematuria of vesical origin.
Material and methods. Patients were studied identified with hematuria of vesical origin divided in two groups in random form, the first group received managing with irrigation vesical by means of cistoclisis previous wash and extraction of the clots, to the second group realize Bismuto’s application in solution 30 cc across probe of Foley which will remain closed by space of 30 minutes and the evolution of the hematuria was evaluated in a whole of three applications.
Results. There was studied a whole of 40 patients with hematuria of vesical origin, with a range of ages of between 35 and 89 years of both sexes. In the group of Bismuto’s application pipe improvement in 75% of the cases, and 15% of them did not present improvement in the evolution of the hematuria and therapeutic other one was necessary, the patients with fault in the therapeutic one with Bismuto (3) were those who had the diagnoses of vesical cancer (2) and endometrial cancer (1). In the group of Bismuto’s application improvement of the hematuria who had in an average of 30 hours by a range of between 6 and 48 hours.
