ABSTRACT
The transurethral resection of the prostate continues being the gold standar for the treatment of obstructive BPH. Monopolar resection requires hipotonic irrigation solution and has some risk of TUR syndrome. Newly developed bipolar radiofrequency technology allows use of normal saline as irrigant and efficient cutting at lower temperature than monopolar technology. We report the results of a prospective and comparative study of a group of patients in which was used monopolar technology versus other group who where operated with Vista® CTR bipolar system and we made a literature review.REFERENCES
