ABSTRACT
This paper analyzes the research article entitled “Prosocial Development:
Parenting Styles and School”, published by María
Vicenta Mestre (2014) in
Revista Mexicana de Investigación en
Psicología. The objective of Mestre’s article was to study in a
large sample of Spanish adolescents, the predictive power
in the development of prosocial behavior of family, personal
and school variables. The present article suggests towards the
development of new research that they should (1) include
separate analysis of different aid recipients -such as prosocial
behavior toward strangers, friends or the family; and (2) to
consider the reason why the agent of prosocial behavior
makes collaborative task, since these aspects could improve
the results found by the author.
