ABSTRACT
Describes and analyzes the accumulated scientific knowledge
and discoveries about the dimension Sluggish Cognitive
Tempo in recent years. It is analyzed taking into account the
current reality on conceptual aspects, instrumental, clinical,
academic, and social. It also takes into account the relationship
of SCT and biological and behavioral factors. The findings
revised allow us to understand this dimension in the context
of research on individuals with inattentive symptoms who
differ, however, from those who meet the diagnostic criteria
defined for inattentive problems. It concludes by underlining
the current limitations in the knowledge of this dimension as
well as possible areas for future development.
