ABSTRACT
The main objective of this work is the history’s review of the “Revista Electrónica de Psicología Iztacala”, the way it was formed and has been developed thru out seventeen years. This journal represents, in some way, the psychological investigation in Mexico. The paper includes the fundaments and main ideas that gave birth to this journal. Also it represents in numbers, the quantity of published articles, the countries that have published in the journal and the type of articles. A reflection is made for the development and history of the journal and a discussion takes place about the scientific publications as a way to pass on the knowledge of Mexican and Latin American psychologists on their own language, social and historical context and idiosyncrasy.
