The Community Assembly as a meeting space between the drug addict and his family

ABSTRACT
The work runs around what happens in the community assembly of a therapeutic community with attention during the day, integrated by patients consuming drugs, family and health professionals; space of meeting that promotes the adhesion to the program, the communication, the valuation of therapeutic achievements and solution of common problems. The study analyzed records meeting sessions held over a period of four months, coupled with interviews with groups of patients and parents of these. The results, say the vicissitudes of travel in the constitution of the group as a working group, as well as the connection and divergence among patients and their families, of the expressions of distrust greater hope in the other, the difficulties of communication to dialogic approach, the absence of limits on the struggle for consensus and maintenance standard of codependency and overprotection to greater independence and self-care of itself. In all this, the therapists act as support structural deficiencies and deep emotional needs. The family system is cause for reflection and community assembly can be glimpsed some of the expressions that attest to its change. Therefore, in the work process of therapeutic communities, the community assembly is a nodal element of the work.
