Carcinosarcoma of the prostate, a case report with immunohistochemical study

ABSTRACT

Carcinosarcoma of the prostate is an unusual agressive tumor composed by two elements, one epithelial and the other mesenchymal. It exists around forty cases that are well documentated in the literature, in which their majority are presented in a synchronic form. We present a case of a 63 years old patient to whom this entity was detected and corroborated by immunohistochemical study.
