Transdisciplinarity in breast cancer treatment

ABSTRACT
Breast cancer is not only in Cuba, but also globally, the most common malignant disease in female population, that is why; it constitutes a serious health problem. In this sense, it is necessary to do an early diagnosis and work within a transdisciplinary treatment program, in which several professionals of the different branches of medicine such as, oncologists, psychologists, radiologists, nutritionists, physiotherapists, among others, take part in order to improve the efficacy of treatments and the survival of patients. This will increase the quality of life of these ill women, but will also provide them an excellent health care.
