Conceptualization and perception of moral and ethical values in student of the third year of Medicine

ABSTRACT
Introduction. Fidel Castro Ruz expressed that fight in Cuba, since the war of 1868 has been a fight of ideas, on some other occasion said, the war of ideas is as important as it were arms. A crisis of moral ethical values in the worldwide society has been reiterated existing, and Cuba does not escape to that reality. In the programs of subjects studied in the curriculum of studies, the educational objectives that express the moral ethical values to reach it. In order evaluate qualitatively the conceptualization and perception of these moral values, we developed this investigation. Methods. Investigation became descriptive, vertical and groupal of 21 pupils that take a course in third year of medical study, in the Investigations Medical Surgical Center. An opinion poll to be fulfilled was delivered and without time limit or identification. The consent became established for a 75 % or over coincidence. We search for his literature in Scielo and Pubmed. Results. In moral's conceptualization, ethics, educating and instructing, only there was consent in moral (76.1%), according to evaluation. The most perceived moral values were, honesty and solidarity, two students did not answer the question. The value patriotism alone was indicated by four students. They all recognize the importance of moral values and there are consent (80 %) in the reason of that importance, a student said not to no. Consent of the places where they acquire, at school, in the family, or at home. Conclusions. Our results can not be extrapolated to other groups student’s of medicine, but we find deficiencies in conceptualization and perception of moral ethical values.REFERENCES
