ABSTRACT
Introduction: nursing has been defined as: art and science while an independent profession that operates autonomously and requires people with the ability to help the sick or healthy individual to perform those activities that contribute to health and recovery.Objectives: to analyze the theoretical aspects of ethical behavior in the nursing care provided to patients with nephrological conditions.
Method: it realized a bibliographic review between November of 2015 and January of 2016 that included diverse texts and scientific articles published in different journals indexed in databases LILACS, MEDLINE, PUBMED, SCIELO and Medigraphic.
Conclusions: the nurse who works in care services for patients with nephrology disorders characterized by human service that guides the humanist philosophy through an interpersonal relationship, meets shared as values: ethics, responsibility, professionalism, internationalism and solidarity.
