ABSTRACT
The midfrontal incision has been primarily designed for cosmetic
purposes related to the rejuvenation of the upper third of the face,
especially for brow lifting, although it is also useful for hyperactive
frowning and glabellar ptosis. This paper reports three cases assisted
at the department of Otolaryngology of the Hospital Angeles Lomas,
in Mexico, in which a mid forhead approach was used to address
non cosmetic issues, and had satisfactory result from the functional
and cosmetic point of view. Authors conclude that, given the evolution
of each case, a midforhead approach should be included in the
armamentarium as an option for treatment of the frontal sinus, and for
those revision cases where a combined endoscopic approach could
also be indicated.
