ABSTRACT

Pneumothorax is the presence of gas in pleural space, with subsequent pulmonary collapse. Spontaneous pneumothorax occurs without an external triggering agent and is mainly manifested in young patients. It is reported the case of a 20-year-old patient with bilateral thoracic pain and sudden dyspnea without apparent reason, in who bigger than 20% bilateral pneumothorax was reported. Also, it is done a brief review of literature.
