Diagnostic approach of renovascular hypertension: a report of a case and literature review

ABSTRACT

Renovascular hypertension is one of the most common causes of secondary arterial hypertension; its prevalence is estimated in 1 to 5% of the hypertensive population. Diagnostic approach of patients with renovascular hypertension includes invasive and non-invasive studies. This paper presents the case of a 24-year-old man with clinical diagnosis of systemic arterial hypertension secondary to renovascular disease and invasive and non-invasive methods to its diagnosis are discussed.
