ABSTRACT
Objective: to characterize the operated patients on liver tumors and biliary tracts according to epidemiological, clinical, diagnostic and therapeutically and evolutionary variables of interest. Methods: An observational, descriptive and transversal study, conducted at surgery service of “Saturnino Lora Torres” Provincial Hospital, in Santiago de Cuba province, in the period from January 2011 to December 2015. Twenty-sixpatients were studied.

For vesicular tumors, the treatment was curative in all cases, not been this way in the liver (6 patients) and not waste away, both patients with extra hepatic biliary tract tumors. The complications were limited and the mortality was 15.4%.
Conclusions: because of clinical and evolutive characteristics of these tumors, the diagnosis continues been late, limiting the possibilities of curative treatment.
