Application of the curricular strategy of english language in students of fourth year of dentistry

ABSTRACT
Introduction: the English language as a discipline of general formation in the syllabus of the Dentistry major has performed a significant role in the integral formation of the student as an essential part for the competence and performance of the future health-care professional.Objective: to develop and evaluated in the practice of the English language in the students of Dentistry in Artemisa over the subjects Oral Surgery and Oral Medicine II.
Methods: an experimental study of Intervention type was accomplished, taking into account the importance of applying the development of the English language as a curricular strategy in the formation of the students of 4th level Dentistry of Artemisa 2013-14 and 20014-15 in Oral Surgery and Oral Medicine II. We made an examination before and after at the end of second semester.
Results: at the end of the school year it was achieved that the totality of the students receive good marks in their assessment, by applying, throughout the course, various activities that permitted to develop their English knowledge in a satisfactory form.
Conclusions: the teaching of English has been evolving according to the improvement of the curriculums of the major and it has been very important to include it among Dentistry major curricular strategies, our results were excellent respected with the first semester, the students developed excellent results and language abilities.
