ABSTRACT
Peripilar keratin casts are white, cylindrical, non-adherent structures that encircle the entire longitudinal hair axis. They correspond to a benign, relatively common entity. Differential diagnosis is wide and it may have multiple associations. Due to the lack of reports in the literature about this entity, it is commonly infradiagnosed. It is very important to recognize this entity in order to avoid expensive and unnecessary treatments.
