ABSTRACT
Cerebral venous thrombosis is
an uncommon clinical entity.
The key to the diagnosis is
maintaining a high degree
of clinical suspicion and
radiological confirmation.
Anticoagulation is reasonable
even in the presence of
hemorrhagic infarction.
Cerebral venous thrombosis
can cause devastating injury
to the brain, but most patients
have a good prognosis if it is
recognized and treated early.
