ABSTRACT
The thyroid nodules are a
common cause of medical
consultation. They are not very
frequent during the first two
decades of life, however when
they are present in this age
they are more common to be
cancerous. Their prevalence
increases with age. The most
of them are benign, however
is extremely important rule
out any malignant lesion. For
a correct management, it is
needed an endocrinological
evaluation, thyroid ultrasound
and a thyroid cytology.
