The current situation of these Mexican professionals has not been well studied. That is why we show the actual state of neonatology professionals according to demographic features.

Emphasis was made on total number of neonatologists, age, Institution where the specialty was termed, Universities that submit the degree, current address, and classification of the private or public institution where their activities take place.
Results. There are 854 neonatologists in Mexico, which corresponds to 55 % of the total of certified neonatologists. Age ranges from 27 to 74 years, with an average of 37 years. 88% live and work in three cities of the country; Mexico-Toluca, Monterrey and Guadalajara.
