ABSTRACT
Congenital atrichia is a rare form of irreversible alopecia, usually associated with mutations on chromosome 8. Inherited autosomal recessive cases are usually the most severe forms, and as an additional phenotypic feature, may be followed by the development of papular lesions. We present a child with universal congenital atrichia with consanguineous parents.
