ABSTRACT
The Portuguese man-of-war or
Physalia physalis is found in both Atlantic and Mediterranean waters. It produces very characteristic stings and more severe lesions than jellyfish, even with systemic complications. In recent years, it has increased its presence in the Cantabrian beaches, and therefore more cases have been seen. We report a case of a 56- year-old woman with very extensive lineal lesions in the right upper extremity and thorax.
