ABSTRACT
Breast cancer is the most common malignancy in women, however, metastases in the breast are rare. Therefore, we only occasionally think of a metastatic disease when a patient has a mass in the breast. The diagnosis through imaging studies, such as mammography and ultrasound of a metastases to the breast and the distinction of primary breast malignancy are important for the medical clinician, due to possible patient treatment changes as well as patient survival. This paper will evaluate the radiological characteristics and review the case history of a patient who was diagnosed with squamous cell carcinoma of the right thumb and one year later was discovered to have a breast metastases.
