ABSTRACT
Hypercalcemia is a common medical condition present in hospitalized and ambulatory patients. A systematic approach is fundamental for arrival to a correct diagnosis. The main objective of this article is to review the pathophysiology, the etiology and provide a general guide for evaluation in these patients.
