ABSTRACT
he memory allows man to acquire an image of the world and supplies him with the real possibility to make the rational activity. When considering so many patients that have suffered a cerebral damage, their memory is affected as a cognitive process, it was elaborated and an activities plan applied to them by the defectologist directed to the rehabilitation of this process. With the goal to demonstrate the results of this plan and the great value of the specialist’s role in the rehabilitation of the memory, an experimental study was made, and this was applied to 15 patients cared for individually at International Center of Neurological Restoration, with a daily frequency in a period of 28 days. In their evaluations with the test of Whechsler at the beginning and end of the treatment, significant achievements were made. We conclude that the work of the defectologist in relation to the improvement of the cognitive process, plays an important role within the multidisciplinary equipment.REFERENCES
