ABSTRACT
A technological development study was done at the Provincial Information Center of Medical Sciences, Holguin from September 2011 to December 2012, to prove the necessity of designing a Website with features of Digital Archive, to retrieve and disseminate serials publications that are in print, produced by health professionals of Holguin territory. For it, 66 of 122 users were surveyed, those who visited the Library of this center searching for manual and automated literature in the collection of serials published and unpublished papers. Absolute data from the surveys were processed manually and represented in tables, where the percentage was used as a summary measure. The majority of surveyed users showed little or no knowledge about some print and electronic journal Correo Científico Médico as well as the preference for the digital format, which is the way they generally obtain biomedical documents.REFERENCES
