Validation of educational software Research Methodology and Statistics for generalization in medical teaching

ABSTRACT
Introduction: with the growth of the use of information and communications technologies in the universities, educational software was compiled to help the process of learning of the subject Research Methodology and Statistics.Objectives: to validate the educational software Research Methodology and Statistics for generalization second year medical career in Holguin province.
Method: an evaluation research was conducted in medical education in the field of learning resources at the Faculty of Medical Sciences Holguin September 2013 to February 2014. Theoretical methods such as analysis-synthesis, documentary analysis were used; as well as empirical and Survey and observation; and statistical methods and mathematical procedures. To determine whether the software is generalizable was evaluated according to the methodology proposed by Madariaga.
Results: the results showed that educational software can be used in all forms of organization of teaching. As part of the internal evaluation software it won 98% of the final value of all the criteria analyzed. As part of the external evaluation, the use of SE was considered in the students and teachers samples, and 91% of the total score was obtained.
Conclusions: educational software for teaching Research Methodology and Statistics course is generalizable for use in the various stages of Holguin province.
