ABSTRACT
Depression is a major geriatric
syndrome, given its high
prevalence and incidence in
the elderly, in addition to its
ability to produce functional
limitation, demanding by the
clinician a broad knowledge
of the subject to make early
diagnosis, as well as to identify
the possible factors associated
risks that can cause this disease.
