Bad prognostic factors in patients with subarachnoidal bleeding due to ruptured aneurysm in intensive care

ABSTRACT

Subarachnoidal hemorrhage is a frequent and often mortal disease which represents 8% of all cerebro-vascular diseases. Out of 150 clinical records which were studied only 100 had all the studies and evaluations required at the Intensive Care Unit. 69% were female and 31 % males with a median age of 47 years. 53 patients underwent surgical treatment, 14 endovascular and 33 did not require invasive treatment, instead, they were medically treated. Overall mortality was of 35% and only 44 were followed for one year. Classifications and treatments are detailed.
