ABSTRACT
Objetive: Determine the functional capacity evaluation from the selected sample through specific determining studies, make comparisons between age and genre identifying the groups with more risk and which are the most influent factors among them. Pretending to be the pilot of a preventing and follow-up program.Material and Method: Transversal, observational and descriptive study with a random sample of 1,200,453 individuals from different states across Mexican Republic. The investigation enabled the analysis of physical and nutritional habits, as well as somatometric values after the realization of physical tasks among which we find the “Course-Navette”, an internationally accepted test for cardiorespiratory capacity, with previous and posterior measurement of vital signs. Data analysis was made with the statistical program, SPSS v21, searching basically for central tendency measures, dispersion measures, and relative frequencies.
Results: Findings show the existence of a general deficit in functional capacity evaluation, being 60% of the studied population located in poor and low standards.
Conclusions: This reveals the risk among population to develop chronic non-transmissible diseases.
