ABSTRACT
The airway obstruction syndrome occurs frequently in the neonatal stage, almost always linked to another condition, although some cases arise spontaneously. Pneumothorax is one of the clinic presentation forms of this syndrome and depending on its intensity; it could be serious and requires urgent medical cares. The air could move forward and reach the subcutaneous cellular tissue, the mediastinum, the pericardium cavity, the peritoneum, and rarely, getting to the scrotum. The clinical case reported in this study refers to a newborn child who presented some clinical forms of airway obstructions with pneumothorax, subcutaneous emphysema and air progression to the scrotum.
