ABSTRACT
This article reports the case of a patient in the fifth decade of life who
presented wiht fever of unknown origin accompanied by leukocytosis
with predominance of neutrophils; evident and masked infections were
discarded. During her study protocol anti DNA y ANAS antibodies were
requested, as well as rheumatoid factor and complement which were
found in normal values. Viral infectious were discarded. Peripheral blood
smears taken without infiltrative process data. Respective laboratory
studies of the second step of fever of unknown origin were unable to
trace the etiology of fever. Finally studies were performed by specific
pathology ruling out malaria and brucellosis, confirming the diagnosis
of adult Still's disease. Still's disease is a rare adult disease, reporting
0.16 cases per 100,000 people without preference for any genre.
