ABSTRACT
Objetive: to determine the utility in the decrease of the uric acid, the pain and inflammation in the treatment with magnetic fields and ion cleanse in the patients with drop.
Method: an experimental study, in 90 patients, the sample was divided in three groups of 30 patients each one. The group 1 (control) received pharmacological
treatment, hygienic-dietary measures and control of the toxic habits. The group 2 treaties with ion cleanse, 30 min in 28 sessions (2 of 14 sessions with intervals of
15-21 days) and the group 3 was indicated magnetic bed 50Hz 100% in the painful area. To the group 2 and 3 they were guided hygienic-dietary measures and control of the toxic habits similar to the group 1. To evaluate the effectiveness of the treatment, before and later, the patients were evaluated by clinic (test of Likert
for pain and inflammation and physical exam) and complementary studies (uric acid). The three groups were evaluated in 30 session-days. In the processing of the
qualitative variables the test was used squared Chi or Mac Nemar in the case of the related ones and for the quantitative ones it was used the test of Student and K.
Wallis. The level of statistical significance a value p ≤ 0,05.
Results: at the end of the treatment the pain and the inflammation was absent in most of the patients in the three groups absent. The uric acid after the treatment the half value diminished.
Conclusions: the magnetic field and the ion cleanse was useful in the decrease of the uric acid and the symptoms and signs of patient with drop.
