Behavior of the bucosinusal communication post exodonce assisted at hospital level

ABSTRACT
Introduction: the buco-sinuses communication is a pathological condition that is characterized to exist a solution of continuity between the mouth and the maxillary sinus as consequence of the loss of soft (buco mucous and antral) fabrics, and of hard (tooth and maxillary bone) fabrics.Objectives: to determine the behavior of the buco-sinuses communication post exodontia to a hospitable level.
Methods: it was carried out a descriptive, longitudinal investigation of retrospective character. The universe was formed by the dental records of 27 patients that presented buco-sinuses communication. The studied variables were the age, the sex, extracted tooth, communication type according to lapsed time, imposed treatment and their evolution.
Results: the 59, 25% of the affected population belongs to the feminine sex and the 77,7% concerns to the group of 45-59 year-old age, the first superior molar was the one that more impacted with a 48, 14%; the 92, 58% were immediate bucosinuses communications.
Conclusions: in the fourth and fifth decades of the lifepredominate the feminine sex, the first superior molar is the one more related to the buco sinuses communication, the majority of the patientsattended in the service were immediately diagnosticated and treated with favorable results in a great quantity level of the cases.
