ABSTRACT
Like consequence the exposition to the tobacco or other irritant, the air roads experience important changes in their histologycal structure. With the objective of describing the influence of the smoking habit in the appearance of histologycal modifications of the breathing epithelium,29 scientific articles were revised. You concluded that the smoking habit determines these transformations, which become progressive and severe in the measure that the consumption increases. The main histologycal changes at level of the breathing epithelium, consequence of it exposition to the tobacco´s fume, are: cellular atrophies, hyperplasia, metaplasia and dysplasia, as well as alterations of the olfation, different rhinitis types and tumour illnesses.
