Dermatoscopy use in the diagnosis of diseases of the hair shaft. A case with monilethrix report

ABSTRACT

Dermoscopy is an ancillary diagnostic tool in diseases of the hair shaft. In this article, we present the case of a six year old, female patient with Monilethrix, diagnosed with this tool, and confirmed by light microscopy. We describe the characteristics of the hair shaft observed.
