ABSTRACT

Introduction: Rheumatic diseases are one of the most common ailments of the current world population. They may appear at early ages. Many patients, afflicted by this ailment, go to see a doctor and are treated, in most cases, with conventional medications that can cause side reactions by other concomitant diseases or by individual’s specific idiosyncrasies, due to their condition. It has been checked by our Medicinal Natural Products’ specialists, the use of homeopathic remedies and their combinations as an alternative treatment to improve symptoms and signs that go with a rheumatic disease. That’s why it was undertaken a literature review on two homeopathic products: Arnica montana and Bryonia alba to 6 CH that are used topically and orally, whose anti-inflammatory, anti-rheumatic and effective properties against acute and chronic pain are attributed and it may be also observed positive responses to the use of natural medicine in this pathology. The results obtained in this paper provide a tool for health professionals to implement the use of these homeopathic products in acute diseases of the Osteoarticular System, besides it allows to spread the goodness of Medicinal Natural Products, its effectiveness in disease prevention, as well as to avoid drug interactions or adverse reactions with allopathic drugs, reducing drug consumption costs and having a positive impact on the quality of life of patients.
